The way you've explained it in your comment tends to the opinion that you thought WE (your readership) wouldn't understand...a bit like American comics that always feel they need to explain the jokes...what is too hard to fathom is WHY the Imaam's haven't displayed it anywhere...was this really an ex Parker ad or is it a Photoshop jobbie?
Peter Wilby who was vilified for publishing what was viewed as an anti-semitic front cover on the New Statesman and Matthew Parris. I can't link you through to the Spectator but you should read this week's edition, it's got a very good range of views. What's interesting, is Charles Moore, Boris Johnson, Stuart Reid (currently temporarily editing) and Theodyre Dalrymple all come it from completely different angle.
Is this too hard? I showed this image to a relative today who failed to read the title of the piece. And thus failed to see what I was getting at.
